Starting with just one chair in 1923, Calligaris now has more than 800 catalogue products selling in 100 countries. The brand contains a balance between technique and aesthetics, reason and emotion. it mixes contemporary design and flexibility, reason why they became became an international brand that stands for quality and creativity.
BRABBU is a Portuguese design brand that reflects an intense way of living, fierceness, strength and the power of an urban lifestyle. With a diverse range of furniture, casegoods, upholstery, lighting and rugs and its diverse customization solutions, wide range of materials, fabrics and finishes, BRABBU provides you all the elements that you need for a winning project.
The first brand using Murano massive glass as a base for tables was the italian brand Reflex Angelo, one of the most prestigious brands in the field. Their use of high-quality materials such as glass, marble and forget iron and wood, makes them one of the brands ahead of technological processes.
For a firm like STUDIO FAUBEL, every detail is extremely important. The brand’s main pillars are quite precise: “clear conception, puristic form language and about all, intuitive use and an extra portion of charm”. This seems to be the main recipe for a studio that even though it’s young, (started in 2010), has already gathered many fans across the globe, since the brand has also been growing outside the borders of Germany.
After a 25 year path as Lievore Altherr Molina, the studio became simply LievoreAltherr since 2016. This Barcelona-based studio is specialized in product design & development, strategic consulting, creative direction, art direction, and ephemeral architecture for internationally recognized design companies such as Arper, Andreu World, Vibia, Tribu, among others.
Over 70 years ago, Carlo Barassi, and Renato Teani founded the company Ar-flex (flexible furniture), that became later arflex. They worked together with architect Marzo Zanuso and began experimenting the use of foam rubber and elastic tapes for the furniture market. This is arflex Russia at imm Cologne 2019.
The Cross-Plex™ lamp first was first conceived in 1961. This lamp – shaped like a cross and moulded in plexiglass, hence the name – has a simple yet sophisticated design. The lamp is therefore a pure reflection of the architect and designer’s characteristic clean-cut and straight lines. Seen from its profile, the table lamp almost looks like a miniature building with the opal shade representing an illuminated roof.
Wildspirit’s design contains small but versatile lines small but versatile! Alain Berteau, Michael Bihain, Samuel Chan, Gerd Couckhuyt, Anita Nevens, Cas Moor & Lieven Musschoot and Sylvain Willenz are some of its most famous designers. Each one of their pieces stands strong on its own but fits perfectly with every other Wildspirit design.
This year, in order to keep the tradition, Das Haus will showcase an emerging designer idea of contemporany. This year, it was Truly Truly‘s turn. The presentation encompasses architecture, interior design, as well as new products & prototypes. The studio from the Netherlands was founded by Australian designers Joel & Kate Booy. Furniture, lighting, textiles and spaces are some of their main concerns when delivering their projects.
Gallotti&Radice established itself in 1955. The space seeks to stay an artistic space dedicated to glass decoration. Their main focus lay on tradition and innovation no matter the product: lighting appliances, furnishing items and mirrors. All their products are handcrafted.
