THANK YOU FOR YOUR REQUEST
We will be in touch soon.
Fiona Barratt: The Leader Of British Design.
Since she was a child she was surrounded by art, design and architecture because of her grandfather, Sir Lawrie Barratt, the founder of Barratt Developments, one of the largest housebuilders in the United Kingdom.
Fiona Barratt graduated in London and she spent one year studying design in New York.
At the age of 25 she was head designer at Kelly Hoppen Interiors.
Then, in 2006 Fiona Barratt Interiors was founded: with interior design, architecture, furniture and lighting, the studio offers a bespoke service to the clients.
She developed her own personal style and there are some features easily recognisable in her projects: mostly she works with the neutral palette, mixing it with a strong explosion of colors, added with accessories and artworks.
Furthermore, she has a passion for antique furniture, especially for 20th century ones.
In the studio there is a unique atmosphere created by an international and interdisciplinary team: different backgrounds, studies, cultures and languages.
That’s why Fiona Barratt gives them the freedom to bring new ideas and to develop projects creatively, always taking care of the details.
She loves to collaborate with artists and artisans to guarantee quality and long-lasting furniture and she also designed and produced her own-label furniture collection inspired by her land, Northumberland. About that, she says “I have spent years developing contacts up here so that I could use the very best craftsmen. Each design is unique but they fit together as a family, too.”
Her studio now works with residential and commercial projects worldwide, mostly with heritage, but her main goal is the understanding of client aspirations and the exploration of aesthetics.
Fiona Barratt‘s creative process starts from the existing elements in the space. Then, she adds her magical touch!
