For his suite at the Four Seasons Hotel in New York, owner Ty Warner collaborated with I. M. Pei, the building’s original architect, and Peter Marino, who handled the interior architecture and design. “No one has seen the city look like this from one place,” says Warner of the dining room. Deborah Thomas’s chandelier is visible from the street.

The dining room of a Manhattan carriage house renovated by 1100 Architect is furnished with a walnut table by the home’s designer, India Mahdavi; vintage side chairs; a lone Jean Prouvé chair; and a circa-1950 Potence lamp by Prouvé. The art on display includes Screaming in Spanish by Ed Ruscha and Untitled (Grey Hood) by Neal Tait.
