Halpern Design: Modern Homes From New York
Halpern Design was founded by Michael Halpern, son of an interior designer. Halpern learned the ins and outs of the design business by osmosis while accompanying his mother to showrooms and clients’ houses as a child.

Halpern Design
Halpern’s dual degree in creative writing and art history from Princeton University led him first to the publishing industry, then to the entertainment industry, where he worked in film and television at Warner Bros. and HBO in Los Angeles.
Halpern Design – The Studio
Halpern’s entry into the design industry was prompted by recommendations from friends who loved the work he had done in his own homes. Halpern’s design aesthetic is heavily influenced by his time spent in California, particularly the light and air, the comfort of life, and the romantic, imagined world of the movies.

1- Modern Colonial
This project shows Halpern’s concern in taking advantage of the natural light, and how simple lines, hues and materials can still look luxurious.
2- Litchfield Farm House
Another project that reflects Halpern’s ability to make the most of what nature gives him. Using simple yet elegant design to create a comfortable space.
3- Upper East Side Duplex
This project shows Halpern’s skill in creating bold spaces, with lively colours and elegant shapes, creating a luxurious and unique space.
4- Madison + 77th
This is more of a classic-modern project by Halpern, full of elegant hues, shapes and luxurious materials, carefully planned and picked by the designer to create a sophisticated space.
